I told the hairdresser that my hair was naturally black (I always get asked if it's natural) and I told her that I wanted a chocolate brown. She then brought me samples and I chose what I wanted, they were lighter than my original hair color. She dyed everything, then blew out my hair, and had me pay 70 bucks. I saw myself in the mirror while I was in the salon and saw that I still had black hair, but I thought the lighting was wrong so I waited till I got home to really check it out. It was still black!! Then I asked my friends, they told me it looked the same.
My questions are, was she supposed to lighten it first and then put in the color or am I just out of luck? And am I entitled to a refund?

Does shaving, waxing, Nair work better than any other? I am still not sure if I want to, so if I do it and don't like it, will it grow back the same? I'm new to this idea, never thouht about it until lately. I need some advice! Thanks!

i have dark brown hair, nearly black actually...and i've been hearing a lot about lemon juice being used for lighter hair, if i use it, (meaning darker hair) what will the results be like...? and maybe if i use only a tid-bit and sit in the sun for a limited amount of time, can i avoid the famous orange tint ive been hearing about that lemon juice gives to darker hair...? im not worried about anything else, i have strong thick hair so it shouldn't really do toooo much damage, thanks!!

I just got blonde highlights on Monday, she did a full highlight, not partial. It didn't come out as blonde as I wanted and now I want to go really really blonde, how long do I have to wait to go back to the salon? 1 week, 2?

I've heard if you go bleach/highlight/color your hair too soon then it will be bad. Thanks for your feedback!

HELP!!!
i think i have head lice..i'm not sure...my friend has all these white ovalish things on her hair...they stick on and doesn't come off...
my friends and i stay near her a lot beacuse she don't know if she has head lice ir not...
Just incase.. I want to know if there are any easy treatments that can be done at home? something that doesn't make u go out and buy those shampoo...
i am sooo scared..
please tell me how does head lice look like and how we can get it off..
i don't want to hurt her feelings.. but i really don't want everyone in the class to have headlice!!!

i wanted to die the tips of my hair blue.

hey everyone. How are yall doing. I am good, just tryin to stay warm from the cold weather. Okay so i was gonna ask what vitamins i should take to get my hair to grow faster and if there is a certain diet i should be on to get my hair to grow faster.

I am 15 years old. I have dark brown hair, but unfortunetely I have a few grey hairs. Is this normal? Will I be prematuraly grey? My grandmother went grey in her twenties, and my father went salt and pepper in his thirties. But is it normal to have grey hairs at the young age of 15?

I have noticed a lot more women losing their hair these days. It is unbelievable. When I go to poorer countries outside the US, this is not the case.

Chinese women are losing their hair even faster than Chinese men, which is strange.
