i wanted to die the tips of my hair blue.
i am not sure what type of blue yet but how do i do it, with out going to the salon? I know that i have to bleach the tips first but i also need help with that too.
so basically my question is how do i bleach and die my tips blue?

Go to walmart or target...Go to the cosmetics side...then youll find the BLEACH FOR FACE HAIR. You culd use tht on the end of ur tips. Then buy colored dye and spray it. thts it

There are a few methods you can try, but have someone help you! The best on a guy with short hair is a shoe shine method. Sallys Beauty Supply has the bleach(ask for assistance). Apply the bleach to a piece of foil and drag it across your hair in a shoe shine method(hence the name). Once the bleach has lifted your hair a few levels, apply Manic Panic or a similar brand in the shade you want. Blue is temporary, you will probably fade to a nice green.

If you have a Hot Topic at your mall, they sell really great stuff for doing that. I have seen a kit there that has the colored dye incorporated into the bleach so it's a one step process instead of two. I think it's a gel too so you can just have someone apply it into the top of the hair so it wont run into the bottoms of your hair.

go to a beauty supply store they will have a cap that you yourself can pull your hair through, then you will bleach the tips after that you will add the blue die.
To get list:
One cap (includes the pick to pull your hair through it)
Bleach ( sometimes they have the whole kit including the developer and the powder) if they do not you need to get a powderd bleach and some 20vol developer.
Blue die (there are many differient kinds) pick your shade
The lady or gentelman that is at the beauty supply store can help you out while you are there
Directions-
put the cap on and pull out the desiered amount of hair that you want blue through the little holes with the pick
after you have done that you need to mix up you bleach there are usually directions on the back of the package of bleach.
apply this to your hair
leave on for at least 10-15 min depending on the shade of your hair right now may even have to leave it on for 20
after you have goten to a light blonde you need to rinse the bleach out leaving the cap on. Shampoo the little bit of hair that is there.
Blow dry the hair that is bleached still leaving on the cap.
After your hair is dry you then apply the blue to your hair.
You should leave this on for at least 15-20min just to be sure that it realy sticks.
A blow dryer will help it go faster,
When it is realy blue after that amount of time you then need to rinse the blue out DO NOT SHAMPOO!!!!
This will cause all of the blue to wash out of your hair
You need to wait at least a day before you wash your hair after you die it blue.
Now word for the weary- the blue will fade so you will have to touch it up every other week or so.

Take two combs one broad and one narrow using the broad one hold your hair tight and using the narrow one select the tip range then apply the bleach with a fine brush and later on the dye.
