. It will NOT make your pores bigger. How old are you?

Hmm thats odd. Now you'll have to shave em all the time. They will look quite weird once the hair starts growing back in. You should have them waxed, regularly.

Despite what people think, shaving DOES NOT make hair grow back faster. When you shave hairs, the ends become nubby (picture those razor commercials where they show a 'microscopic' close up of a guys beard). Anyway, the point is, is that the ends of the hairs are more blunt so it appears to be thicker than it was before. (and it would seem that it grew back faster).

Your pores are showing only because you are microscopically damaging your skin as you shave. Waxing, on the other hand, pulls hairs out from the root, not just at the skin level. Thats probably the better way to do it.

I shave my arms, every single day so I'm not prickly. And I regret ever starting to shave my arms, because it's such a hassle to deal with. If your arm hairs are very long trim them, but only a very tiny itsy bitsy bit. I don't know if it's really affected my pores at all, but I don't reccomend you start shaving your arms, because once you start you can't stop because the hair that will grow back will be even thicker than the original hair. Don't shave your arms, just your legs and under-arms. Let the hair on your arms grow back, and go onto beinggirl.com for more advice on this and other questions like it. It's a very helpful website :)

I've shaved my arms for 11 years now. Normally hair grows back thicker and darker, but it didn't. The hair on my arms is actually lighter and thinner than it was before I started shaving them. I don't have huge pores either. Everyone's body is different, I don't know how it will be for you-but I'm still happy with my decision.

if u don't want to keep shaving you can use creams like nair and other hair removal creams. but i'd say don't get it waxed because it really really hurts and who wants to go through all that pain anyways. also do not get any kind of laser treatment it always has side effects even if they say it doesn't. i know i also hate the fact that the hair comes back thicker but sometimes you like to see your skin all clear and pretty! (i totally understand)! and also just cause the other girls pores are really big that doesn't mean the same will happen to you! don't worry everyone is different and your pores might not turn bigger!! sometimes you have to take chances! good luck :)

I really don't know every one is different, but I would not shave my arms because when it grows back sometimes it can get a little thick and dark (but not every ones gets that). Also it is very irritating when it grows back... The best thing you can do is to wax it or try to get a Lazar treatment for it, but whatever you do you should get it wax. It would hurt like hell and also your skin would be red and irritated by it (but it is better than shaving a little because, it would take a longer time to grow back and you would not even notice or feel it when it grows back)... If it is not noticeable to other people then you should just leave it alone...

Good Luck!!!

No, I don't shave my arms even though I do have visible hair on it.

Personally, there is nothing more I hate than brushing up to someone who is just having their hairs grow back. It's is a disgusting feeling. On your legs it's not that bad since no one really touches your legs and if they do it's with their palms which are not as sensitive as your arms.

In general, I'd say avoid shaving your arms. Your hair WILL grow back ticker and darker so if you thought they were visible now, just think how they'll look in a few years!

I'd just focus on loving your arm hair. Trust me - no one besides you really notices it! ;) I mean, how many people's arm hair do YOU look at?

Most guys, at least in America, are looking for their girls to

1. Have big breasts

2. Be hair free, apart from the scalp.

If you're not going to buck the trend, then whatever hair you've got, wherever you've got it, you'll have to remove it and shaving's the easiest way.

It's very different in other countries where it's not at all unusual to see an attractive girl wearing a moustache and nobody seems to think it's ugly.

what does it look like on your legs when you shave? it will probably look similar on your arms. the problem with shaving your arms is that the stubble comes in soon and its really weird when someone touches the roughness of your arms. they are more accessible to the world than the legs so keeping them smooth is harder. i have hairy arms too and have had people comment before. i've never shaved them but know girls who have. i don't think its the worst thing in the world. some ethnicity's have darker and more prevalent hair than others. i've also noticed actors like Alyssa Milano on Charmed has dark hair on her arms and she is still very attractive.

I used to wax my arms in cosmetology school all the time.
My pores never got big but I took extra care to keep them clean and lotioned all the time to prevent clogged pores which can lead to ingrown hairs.
Not an attractive thing to have on your arms.
