Hair - January 2007

Right now I use Philosophy's Sheer Splendor, which is fine but if I use too much it makes my hair feel too stringy. Is there a type that will won't do this and kind of give my hair that "just from the salon" look?

I've heard that Pantene isn't good for your hair because of the wax in it.. What have you found to be the best hair products? I would like to stray away from products with alcohol in them..

I've been coloring my hair for years and now with advice from Loreal , trying to darken blonde, (not recommended) it is over processed. To stop color from getting on already colored hair when dying the roots I was told by a friend to saturate the colored hair with shampoo or conditioner so that color will not penetrate the already colored hair. Don't stylists do this?

I'm in the process of growing my hair out... I think... The thing is I like my short hair, but I also miss putting it in lil pigtails.. (part your hair down the middle, then put them into lil pigtails and the nape of your neck).. Should I get it cut shorter or just trim it and patiently wait for it to grow out?? It's to the point where it won't hold the style all day and it's driving me nuts.. Should I wear headbands??

like so, and I was hopeing that someone could tell me hot to achieve it more, It's way to thick when i use my razor, but it's all I have what kind of trimmer should I use and where should I trim it, I don't know if there is a proper way of doing this, so I was wondering if anyone could find the name of this facial hair, and maybe a link that tells me how to care for and properly build it because now I shaved it off I look like I'm 12 haha.

How do you think I should get my hair cut?

I've been growing my hair for quite a while now, but the fact that my fringe is horter than the rest is starting to annoy me. So how do you think I should get my hair cut? Be serious please. Or should I just keep growing it?

when i was in school i used to do my hair so tight that i actually made it come out. I used to have thick curly hair now it is still curly but it is very thin and brittle i am now 20 and i still have patches on my head. I have very oily hair. I wash it at night say around 10:30 like last night and wake up this a.m. and on the top of my head my hair is oily. It's always been this way. Do you have any suggestions? I don't use any mousses gels or anything. I do straighten my hair maybe 3 times a week. I have thick wavy hair and can't stand the frizz!!! I hate taking a shower in the a.m. so since I'm a stay at home mom I get to wear a hat. I also have oily skin. I wash my face in the a.m. and in the p..m. Thanks so much for your time.
