I'm in the process of growing my hair out... I think... The thing is I like my short hair, but I also miss putting it in lil pigtails.. (part your hair down the middle, then put them into lil pigtails and the nape of your neck).. Should I get it cut shorter or just trim it and patiently wait for it to grow out?? It's to the point where it won't hold the style all day and it's driving me nuts.. Should I wear headbands??

put in clips..and YES headbands!!! did you try doing it like you avatars? very cute! just when your bored, go in the bathroom and try diff. styles, see which one works for you!
use hairspray if your hair doesn't hold

Head Bands are always good for an out of control do! Also try hot, velcro or sponge rollers if it is straight or a flat iron if it is curly, just to change it up a little. I have a flat iron, but it is actually rounded, that really gives me a full look. It took me 13 years to get my hair back below my shoulders and after many many attempts, I finally just made the decision to stick it out. I did it for the same reason you are considering it, pigtails and other fun do's. The biggest thing is to keep getting it trimmed! That is the best way to stay sane while growing it out. Good luck.

I have had a short cut for just over a year. After having long hair forever, I personally find that I can do way more funky and different styles with it short. I love little snap barretts to pull your hair out of your face. I'm not sure how long yours is, but I've let my bangs grow long enough to tuck behind the ears and the back is short and spiky. Short hair rules. What else is great is that you can easily wear a "messy" style or sleek and glamoures.

Headbands are back in style right now, so you can pull it off. I think on girls with short hair they look cute, If you want to grow your hair out, don't get it trimmed!

Get hair extensions if you can't wait a long time for your hair to grow out. Human hair extentions can be cut and styled the way you want it.

i would just get it trimmed but that's just me. i Love long hair. my hair is past the middle of my back so yea. yea you should try out hand-bands and c what your friends say bout it and if u feel comfortable in them.

well, part out your hair to the side and like use bobby pins to pin them down. As far as letting it grow...LET IT GROW...thats easier...cuz if its shorter..WORSER for u...just try my idea...
