Do we lose hair at certain times of the year in the same way that we shed skin?

I've noticed quite a few hairs on my pillow recently and now I'm wondering if it is a seasonal thing or the beginning of the end of that great full head of hair!!!

I want a new look right now I have dark hair w/kind red highlights, its layered its near my boobs. I am tanned with like brownish green/hazel eyes. What color hair will bring out my eye color. As well as what hair style would be appropriate for me I'm also a petite girl with thick hair but its straight.

There is this girl who goes to my school and she has really long hair like 3 in. away from her butt and she has caramel hair and she just got a perm I dont think it looks good but what do you think it would look like shes about 5"2 tall and her face is ovalish rounded and her eyes are a deep blue........Do you think a perm would look good I feel sorry for her cuz everybody is telling me that it looks disgusting!

I've flat ironed my hair once, it truly damaged it, till I just have to have it cut, it became like a wire, soooooo. . disappointed. I was so annoyed with myself. I thought I probably don't know how to use it. I have a short hair now as a result. (not short short)
PLEASE HELP, I still wanna use it without having the same problem .

Right now my hair is light brown and I think its just blahh, not very interesting. I think dark hair gives an exotic look. I have green eyes and am tan. Do you think medium or dark brown would look with that coloring and eye color?

I had my hair dyed dark brown three months ago (SEMI Permanent), to cover red hair color that was done a month or so before that. It's probably a medium to dark brown on the ends, with the old red hair color coming through. I went to a salon and asked for her to lighten my hair color to a light brown. Well, she decided to only put lightener on my roots (which are now a medium blonde), and waited until after to tell me that you can't lift color with color. I'm going back tomorrow to see what I can do to fix the botched color job. How can I lighten my hair (without using highlights), without causing too much damage?

I have shoulder length hair now and want my hair to be long by summer. What can I do to make my hair grow fast? It grows less than 1/2" per month now and I want to speed it up. I've heard of vitimins, fish oils, and things of this nature, but do they really work? Thanks!

I have highlighted my hair 3 times at a salon. The color she gave me was red mixed with blonde so on my dark brown hair, it really looked nice and lightened up my face. The color was more red and not very bright. This all happened about 2 years ago and I have cut my hair so the color is back to my natural healthy dark brown. I REALLY want to get BLONDE highlights at the salon. But i dont know if its going to look horrible or if it will ruen my hair. I want to have lots of strands of blonde so it almost looks like a girl who has natural blonde hair with brown lowlights. You know what i mean? well thats what i have been wanting and i just dont know if it will ruen my hair or what i should do. I have light to medium skin tone with bright green eyes. Yesterday I tryed doing a home hightlighting kit to my hair but the highlights all blended together and only did the top of my scalp. Can I go re-dye my whole head to a darker color (my natural dark brown) to erase the color? Or should I wait longer then just one day?
