Dab a bit of Corn Starch Baby Powder on the hair--avoiding eyes at all times...your goal here is to let the powder asorb the vaseline. Then bathe baby and use baby shampoo on hair.

Use a neutralizing shampoo 2-3 depending how much is in the hair, every trace of vaseline will be gone. condition lightly after.

Poor thing...All u can do is use hot water as hot as u can stand it with lots of degrease dishsoap. Plus u can buy this Goo Gone in Krogers and that will work too.Good luck Next time remember the vaseline is for the lower part of your body not the upper.hehehe

Wow, I've never considered that before, but that's a tough one.
Get in the shower, start by washing your hair as best you can. If you can get a shampoo with charcoal or another binding agent in it, use that (something like Nutregena T-Gel).
After you've shampoo'd as best you can (I wouldn't waste time with a conditioner), while still rinsing, take a fine toothed comb and get as much of that gunk out of your hair as possible. Comb in one direction until it feels like everything's out, then comb in another direction (ie: Comb towards the back until it feels clean, then comb to the left). Once you feel like you've got as much out as you can, shampoo again.
Now here's the kicker, you've got the majority out, how do you get the last remnants out? I would try something like the "gentle" dish soaps like Palmolive or Joy. They should remove the greasy film while not damaging your hair too badly.
Good luck to you. Let us know how it all works out.

vaseline probably soaks into your hair like a conditioner... what you are feeling is the difference between your newly "vaseline conditioned" hair and your old dry hair...
just enjoy the new lustre of petroleum enriched follicles... that's my advice.
How did you get the vaseline in your hair anyway? (maybe I don't want to know)

Mix a tsp of baking soda with your shampoo and wash your hair with it. Or use dish soap. But the baking soda thing would be a lot less harsh for your hair.

I own a day spa & salon in Ohio. Here is your answer. Put a LOT of shampoo on your hair W/ NO WATER BEFORE YOU GET IT WET. THEN SHAMPOO IT OUT. This may have to be done several times before it comes out completely. Hope this helps.
