What is the best thing for a guy to do to prevent thining hair?

The "best" thing to do is not to worry too much about it. Others don't see it as bad as you do yourself. We always see more faults in ourself than other do. At least on our looks.

Don't get too stressed out for too long if possible. A healthy diet and positive outlook might also helps but this often comes down to genetics. At least there are plenty of natural (and unnatural) solutions on the market once hair thins out these days.

losing hair is genetic, and there is very little that can be done to prevent or slow the process. (despite numerous claims to the contrary - generally aiming to make money from peoples' desperation).

Some say baldness is a manifestation of virility, which might comfort you a bit. I say the best thing for thinning hair is have it cut short before it gets obvious.

Well balanced diet. Avoid chemical intakes. Drink water. Excercise. Avoid hats and head sweationg, hair needs to breath and get air to scalp. Shampoo frequently with a good head scalp massage and use a good conditioner. Avoid hair dryers. Avoid stress.

take vitamins, use rogaine. rogaine works but no results for 4 months - follow directions to the T.
