I have a semi-formal dance I'm going to next month. My hair is about 1 1/2 inches below my shoulder. I need ideas on hairstyles I could try. PLEASE HELP!!!

So cute and so easy: Sideswept bangs, pull into ponytail below your ear on one side. Tease for volume, then comb out gently. Twist into a messy bun and curl the ends. Spray lots. It ends up looking kind of like your avatar - I love it. :)

Try pinning half it up, and putting some loose curls in the back of the hair that is pinned, What sort of bangs do you have? If you have bangs that are all one length, tease them and pull them back to make what I call a sort of "Poodle" effect. Heh. If they are sideswept bangs, like mine, just leave them as is.

a half updo... like a half pony tail in the back with big luxurious curls. use hair spray for hold and tease for volume if needed.

half up and half down would be cute for a semi formal. you could have it half pulled up and the other half in big barral curls.
