Hair - September 2006

A friend mixed head & shoulders shampoo with thermasilk shampoo and it formed some kind of glue and now the hair is stuck together. We can't figure out what to do, any suggestions other than shaving the hair off?

i would like to make dark brown (almost black) dyed hair at least two shades lighter, how best to do this? Will using a lighter shade of dye work?

Lately, I have had a huge problem with my hair. It is always dry and when I put in my smoothing serum and gel every morning, it frizzes very much. It looks horrible and is impossible for me to manage.

I have no idea why my hair is like this now. I have not changed my routine of dealing with my hair. I still shampoo and condition every night.

I have recently moved and sleep with a really cheap 200-thread count pillowcase. Could it be the roughness of the pillowcase which is damaging my hair, as odd as it may sound?

This is strange but true. My girlfriend and I have a great relationship. We are best friends and have vowed to be completely honest with each other about everything. Her birthday is coming up and she has told me that she doesn't want jewlery or clothes. She says that she wants to do something naughty for her 25th birthday. Something completely out of character. She wants a stripper in a private hotel room. She said that she would pay back on my birthday. Any fantasy I wanted. I agreed--it may not sound like it but she is actually a good girl..she's been faithful.. Well, she has obviously put some thought into it because she recently said that she has decided upon a muscular, black stripper., completely naked. Ground rules are this: no touching but no sex. I searched forever for her stripper without luck. Finally, I found a guy at my gym. Only, his rule is this: his g-string comes off only if she removes her panties. When i told her, she just smiled and said it was up to me. Should I?

I had very curly hair (not nappy, as some call it) and i got tired of it so i went to the hairdresser to cut it and she went VERY VERY short! it was sticking up all over so i relaxed it to try to get it to stay down. now it is too straight and lifeless. I was thinking about getting a perm to put back the curls. my hair is pretty short still - rests on my neck, above the shoulders. is it safe to perm my hair now? it's been about a month or more since i cut and relaxed it. if it is unsafe, what are my other options to get waves again in my hair? i plan on going to the salon this week, but i want to have an idea of my options before i go there and make the final decisions. is there anyone else out there who is clueless as to what to do to get her hair to look it's best!!!? please advise!

I would like to get extension in my hair but I have some questions before I get it done. I called some salons to get a quote but they said I need to go in and get a consultaion first, all I want to know is an average about how much it cost. My hair is about shoulder length and I would to get them about to the middle of my back, lawyered with highlights. I want to know how long do they last in your hair? Are they confterable? I pulled my hair back with a purple pony tail holder last night before getting into the hot tub. When I woke up this morning, there were awful reddish streaks throughout my hair, where apparently the dye from the pony tail holder bled onto my hair. I've washed it 3 times with a clarifying shampoo, which took some of it out, but I still have plenty of noticeable red running through my hair! Any ideas on removing it? My hair is naturally blonde.
