Hair - September 2006

Instead of using money I don't have to buy a hair bleaching kit and some Manic Panic or going to a salon, would it be possible to dye my hair using some peroxide and a colored tea, such as rasberry? Would the tea even show up, or would I need to mix it with conditioner in the way kool-aid is used as a dye? I know I've heard about peroxide making your hair fall out and also turning it yellow, but I actually dyed a small lock of hair using peroxide. My hair didn't fall out and it was more golden than yellow. Starting color is golden brown, could that perhaps be why it wasn't yellow?

I'm not a child, so before you tell me to "stop, put the bottle back in the cabinet"...don't. Just trying to experiment with my hair, I don't even like it so I could care less if I damage it.

My husband is a black man who shaves his head, I bought him some clippers so we could do this at home but they suck. Does anyone have any suggestions what kind to buy that work well. I would like to buy a good qualiity pair of clippers.

In the beginning of grade 7 i used sun-in, a lot at once like the whole thing. Yes I know how stupid can you get? so anyway ive waited 4 yrs and its almost grown out only visible at the ends. SO anyways my question is everytime i permanently dye my hair it comes back at the ends again even when i dye it! like it;ll be visible again a week later. what kind of hair dye or product can get rid of it????

well, heres the thing. i was ridding my bike around my home town, Gloucester Ma and i stopped at the local Super market to look around and also poke around. I remembered that i had made ten dollars earlyier for cutting my grandmothers lawn. Ive wanted to dye my hair again for the last moth so i bought some boys hair dye, Blonde i have brown hair. And I dyed my hair while my mom was at the mall. Hwo do i tell her that i did it? I wear a hat a red sox of course. And she still hasn't noticed i tell her that i am breaking in my new hat. I have long, straight, light brown hair. I do like my hair but I am starting to get a little bored with it. I'm 25 years old, a mother of an 11 month old, and work full time, so I don't have time to do real fancy things like curl my hair or style it. I always end up putting it in a ponytail. Anyone have suggestions as to what I could do for a change? I don't mind cutting it short, but if I do, I would like for it to have some style to it. I can't find any pictures I like. Anyone have ideas? Or websites where I can find some pics? Thanks!!

I can use any or most shampoo's with out any trouble but have to change the brands often as my hairs seems to get use to the one type very fast by the end of the bottle it does not matter if its expenisve or cheap brand my hair will start to dry out. I have tried washing my hair every day I have tried washing it a lot less often even leaving it for a few days. Do you know why this happends do you or know any body that has this trouble with there hair or shampoo.

okay so every night ill take a shower and then blow dry my hair. and then later in the night ill straighten my hair. by the time i get up its fine but then half through the day it'll be already greasy. How can i keep it from getting like this? and dont tell me to straighten it the morning because i dont have enough time. should i or shouldnt i used conditioner? does this have anything to do with the grease?? anyways PLEASE HELP!!

I have wavy, frizzy hair. It's not terrible long, but it's a couple inches past my shoulder. I use the garnier frutis line for my hair. Does anyone know anything I can do to control my frizz? My hair is really frizzy, so, if anyone could suggest a product. One that won't totally ruin my hair, or leave it hard or greasy.

I have several questions, if you have the time/experience. I heard that you can't highlight once you've used henna. Is that true? I haven't done it yet, and my hair is naturally dark ash blond. How often should I re-color it? I'm using Brown Colora. How fast does it wash out? Any recommendations or cautionary hints? TIA
