I bought a Remmington wet to dry straightener to use on my extremely frizzy hair. It straightens best when straightened about 4 hours after washing it. Provided I don't go running around in the rain, my hair will stay straight for a couple of days until I wash it again. The ceramic straightener has worked a miracle on my hair. I don't buy serums anymore as I think they are a waste of money. They never did anything for me. Hope this helps.

Regardless of the styling products or the flat iron being used, the rain or humidity is sure to ruin straight hair. I have given up on trying to find something that will make my thick hair stay straight all day on a humid day. Nothing works. I have an expensive flat iron and I have tried every serum under the sun. Good Luck!

Hi There

I have the thickest head of hair, and its really wavy, and I straighten my hair. By the time I have finished I look like I have half the hair I do have and it stays straight until I wash it. Unless of course I get caught in the rain. I use Remington hair straighteners and they are really good, I think they are the 2x ones, just wash you hair and put conditioner in. I do not put anything else in my hair, like serums and stuff, just blow dry your hair as straight as you can, then section your hair and start from the bottom upwards.

If my hair can go straight from the thickness it is, anyones can.

All the best.

When your hair is damp apply a straighting cream ,then blow dry your hair straight, then spray on some protective hot iron spray and use your straighteners and before you go out out use a dehumidifying spray on your hair.

Try Lee Stafford's range of Poker Straight products they are really good, you can get them from Boots.

Well i had that problem too cos i live in a damp country so what i do is i blow dry my hair after a shower and put cream so your hair doesnt get damaged (I use HOT LISS by L'oreal) and then i straighten it (with a good sraightener though). It works for my type of hair which is a difficult one. If this doesnt work for you ask your local hairstylist!

it depends what your hair does naturally, i personally have very curly hair, i chemically straighten it every eight weeks at a salon, remember that your hair has to be in good nick. i wash my hair twice a week, use a hair serum on soaking wet hair, blow dry straight and them use ghd straightners to fininsh hair off, run soft wax through your hair, it will stay staright all day long, apart from if you get caught in the rain then you buggered.

Use a syrim i think ive spelt that wrong but you can buy it in hairdressers or hairdresser suppliers. You put it on after you have straightened your hair or buy other products like shampoo that help keep your hair in good condition but also help keep your hair straight. Matrix hair products are the best ones.

You can use hair straightners but not everyday as it will ruin your but I was in Boots today and I saw a permanent hair straighting creme that lasts for about a month so you could try that,it costs about £14.99

if you have hair straighteners use them , the temp needs to be able to reach up to 200 c . its best to wash and blow dry your hair first. you need to straighten your hair in sections. its no good just doing the top. this should last all day.
