Lately, I have had a huge problem with my hair. It is always dry and when I put in my smoothing serum and gel every morning, it frizzes very much. It looks horrible and is impossible for me to manage.

I have no idea why my hair is like this now. I have not changed my routine of dealing with my hair. I still shampoo and condition every night.

I have recently moved and sleep with a really cheap 200-thread count pillowcase. Could it be the roughness of the pillowcase which is damaging my hair, as odd as it may sound?

Your pillowcase may be the problem. Cotton pillowcases can dry out your hair (due to the material's absorbency), so you should try a satin pillowcase. You can get them at most beauty supply stores.

If you're still having problems with frizziness, you might want to try a leave-in conditioner. There's one you can find in most any store that sells hair products called Infusium 23 that works really well (and it comes in both a spray bottle and a regular bottle if you want to buy your own spray bottle). There are at least three kinds of leave-in conditioners to choose from, as well as other moisturizing products in their line that you might be interested in.

Hope this helps. :)

Absolutely. Low thread count sheets are abrasive and drying. Get a satin pillowcase. This should help. Or tie your hair up with a silk scarf.

Massaging the Head relaxes hormones ; simply rub your temples, the base of your neck and top of your scalp for at least 5 minutes...Tie your hair upward before sleeping..use smooth A val vet or satin silk pillows for your head support. The quick remedy is use coconut oil to lubricate your hair;and thereafter use any herbal shampoo,as far as 200 thread count pillow is not a cheap thing,Pillow is not main cause here..when you use pillow don't use synthetic one..use natural one filled with a cotton..

I have recently experience the same problem. I haven't changed diet or fluids. I'm suspecting that it could be my thread count...but then, why now? so that cant be it. Must be we are getting older and our bods are changing.
