Please, Please only answer if you are a hair professional of some kind.

When you straighten your hair, should you take a shower in the morning, blow dry it straight, then use a flat iron OR should you take a shower the night before, let it dry while you sleep, then flatiron it in the morning?

Also, how often can you use a flatiron without damaging your hair?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

I got a perm on Friday. It was supposed to be a body wave, but it ended up as a poodle perm. I can't do anything with it. I've washed it four times. I've also put conditioner on it (not washing out for a few hours). The conditioner has helped some, but not enough. What should I do??

i have natural light brown hair, and i dyed it red. something went wrong, and my hair looks terrible. i've heard there's a shampoo or something that gets the fake color off your hair. what brand is this shampoo and where can i get it? if there's not, what should i do to "repair" my hair. my hair looks horrible, and i'm going on vacation soon. thanks!

I have a little longer than shoulder-length dark blonde hair, and I'm ready for a change. I was thinking layers, but I'm not sure if I want to or how. I donno if hilights would look good, maybe lowlights tho, any suggestions?

I've recently become obsessed with vintage hair. I love the look of pin-ups and Old Hollywood film stars from the 20s to 50s. I'm not very experienced with styling my own hair but it's something that I would like to try.

Right now my hair is in a bob that goes a little past my chin. I'd like to do finger waves, a pomp [though my hair might need to grow,] and things like that. Any style recommendations would be excellent but any websites with a tutorial would be the best.

heres my problem, I have tried time and time again to straighten my curls by first washing my hair, then drying it out with a blowdryer till its dry and frizzy. then i go over my hair with a straightening iron section by section. eand result? thick, strsight but still frizzy!! i just want it to look thin, and managable. is there a better way to do this??

I have worn my hair 'natural' for a number of years. I did cornrows, twists and twist-outs making a 'textured' fro. All was good until my hair started breaking off. I kept it moisturized, scalp oiled etc and even consulted a few web sites on naturally 'nappy' hair without success. I live in an area where there are very few black women--and fewer of them have natural hair (they wear their hair relaxed). The climate is super dry. I am a doctor (in training) and need a neat professional carefree look for my natural hair. I am also very active--with biking, hiking and working out in th gym. I want to do more water sports, but ...I was considering locks--but noticed that Lauren Hill and Indya Ire (spelling?) had chopped their locks off. I am currently wearing braids with extensions--to try to grow without suffering from more breakage. I am desperate and do not want to have to result to a relaxer. Any ideas?
