i have natural light brown hair, and i dyed it red. something went wrong, and my hair looks terrible. i've heard there's a shampoo or something that gets the fake color off your hair. what brand is this shampoo and where can i get it? if there's not, what should i do to "repair" my hair. my hair looks horrible, and i'm going on vacation soon. thanks!

The easiest thing to do would be to try dying your hair a dark brunette color. That will cover most of the red, although your hair may have a red sheen about it. Otherwise, go to a salon. If you do go to a salon, it may take more than a few days.

No shampoo can remove that hair color. You should color your hair again. Try Loreal Excellence or Garnier Nutrisse that are both gentle and will not damage your hair. Use a darker red shade to cover the bad color.

go straight to a professional because red is hard to get out and to keep in sometimes. do not do it yourself because you will end up damaging perfectly good hair. A person who is colorist and can do color correction is the professional you need. Believe me i have had many hair disasters. she can even make your hair the red you want. You may have used a level of peroxide that was wrong for your hair or the box was bad. Go go gogogo to pro.

it all depends on what kind of color you used..Permanent or semi? The good news is, that red is the fastest fading color , try using Pert, Prell, Pantene, White Rain shampoo's with really hot water...their ph in the product is extremely high and will wipe out or fade the red considerabley..if all else fails...use dawn dish soap and hot water..all these remedies can help..but it depends on if your lt. br. hair had hi-lites in it or not..or if it is chemically altered with perm..if thats the case,,,go see a pro..

You can either have it professionaly removed and redyed, or you can dye it yourself, but you'll have to dye it darker. You'll want to dye it a darker brown that has absolutely no shade of red in it. I've done the same thing. Looked like Ronald McDonald.

cancel the red with an ash tone something in the cool range but if you want some warmth still mix it with a nutral color your best bet is to go to a salon.

How red are we talking? You can buy colors that have a base color to cover up the red, but how red is it?
