im 16 not 50 l0l but neways ....like when i use a comb or a brush theres a lot of hair on it i lose a lot of hair like when the lady in the salon washes my hair theres hair all over her hands

i have long hair , like under my shoulder blade by alot , but i want to cut it up to my shoulder and every one is telling me not to . i think long hair is better , what about you?????

Its not really bad but it doesnt make sense to me because...
I get it pressed(hot combed no relaxer)by a Pro
i get the ends cliped ever now and then
I get a deep conditioner
I wrap it in silk every night
I put hair oil on the ends
and i make sure that my hair isnt rubbing against something that makes it split
so i do all these things and its like continuing and doesnt make it stop....can any one help me on what i can do...or why this is happening?is it because of the hot weather here in Houston....and im black so that u can get the idea of my hair

I have short ((shoulder length)) hair and I never do anything but straighten it or put it in a ponytail its brown if that helps at all! What can I do to it different without going to a salon?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have been so down with morning sickness etc I thought I'd get my hair done to cheer myself up. Its long and dark brown so I thought I'd get it trimmed and have a tint put on it or some lighter streaks through it. But I'm worried that the chemicals in the hair dye will harm my baby.

I am fm mumbai. i have dry hair (below my shoulders)but had managed them well using good conditioners.
since 6 months i have shifted to bangalore, but b'cse of hard water there i am losing my hair very fast. it has lost its texture even though i had tried mild shampoos, conditioners etc. pls help as to what precaution i can take regarding this.

Ok well my moms side of the family hair blonde straight thin hair, and my dads side has dark brown, thick curly hair.
Well the top of my hair is thin and straight blonde. And the bottom layer is dark brown and curly.
Whats up with that?

Is light brown hair considered brunette? I know dark-brown or black hair, especially dark-brown hair is brunette. I'm pretty sure medium brown hair can be considered brunette because dictionaries sometimes define brunette as having dark or relatively dark hair, and a medium shade of brown hair is definitely relatively dark hair. I'm not sure if a light or lighter shade of brown hair is really brunette. Also, what is a light brunette and dark brunette? Please list sources if possible, especially internet site addresses.
