Ok well my moms side of the family hair blonde straight thin hair, and my dads side has dark brown, thick curly hair.
Well the top of my hair is thin and straight blonde. And the bottom layer is dark brown and curly.
Whats up with that?

Your hair could and probably will, change as you grow older. Either by relaxing or becoming curlier. In the meantime, you could blowdry it straight, with lots of gunk of course, or just air dry for more all-over curls.

my husbands hair is curly and thick while mine is straight. my daughter had thick hair that is straight except for 1 chunk in the front that is curly no matter what she does and when the weather is humid it turns into a ringlet. you will learn to deal with your intersting hair the same way my daughter has learned with hers.
