I just got a perm in my hair about 2-3 days ago, and I did what they told me to do (Spray and scrunch hair, dont wash it for 48 hours, comb it with a wide-toothed comb, ect.) and for some reason almost all the curls came out still. I used a curl defining cream, curl shampoo & conditioner and the curls still came out! This was very expensive (about 100 dollars), so how can I get my curls back really fast? (School starts tomorrow and I want everyone to notice my perm). Thanks.

How do people with long/thick hair deal with hot/humid weather?!! I had my hair under control until summer hit. Here in Chicago we are reaching tempuratures and heat indexes that haven't been seen in 20 years. Because of this my hair is now out of control. My normal routine is leave-in conditioner, straightening gel, shine spray (which also helps protect against ceramic styling tools), blow dry, then straighten. That routine is no longer helping the fight against the frizz. My hair gets frizzy if I let it air dry no matter what time of year it is. Now, during the summer, I can't seem to keep the frizz at bay. What are some of your tips and tricks? I need to stick with the A/G shampoo and conditioner line and I have to be careful what hairsprays I use and/or how much I use. With that, I'm looking more for products to use after shampoo and conditioner.

I am told over and over again that our hair is dead.
OK. How come then at age 50 + I started having wavy hair after it
has been straight all my life. Same lenght and all now very wavy and when I am sick it does not do anything at all but lay flat.
Hair may be dead but sure reacts on something? What is your opinion?

i'm a brunette and would like a lot of blonde highlights...
i have large dark brown eyes, dark but fairly thin eyebrows, and medium to pale skin.
what types of blonde would suit me? i was thinking maybe a golden blonde like cheryl tweedy from girls aloud but would it just make me look washed out? i have no idea as i've never been blonde before lol!
also, would i need thick or thin highlights? one shade of blonde or a few different shades?
all ur comments are really appreciated! thanks xox <3

hair in 3 inches below shoulder length (no laying but slightly feathered), dark brown very fine (prone to getting greasy so wash it every 2 days) and not great condition. When in good condition in is very very shiny and soft.
Want to keep the length but realistic because hair is not in good condition. Any ideas for haircuts and products I can use??? thankyou!!!

I look at shows like Xena and when they got dirty I wonder what was used in those times or any time before we had shampoo.
What about Queen Elizabeth the first?
