What are some ways to make your perm last?

I just got a perm in my hair about 2-3 days ago, and I did what they told me to do (Spray and scrunch hair, dont wash it for 48 hours, comb it with a wide-toothed comb, ect.) and for some reason almost all the curls came out still. I used a curl defining cream, curl shampoo & conditioner and the curls still came out! This was very expensive (about 100 dollars), so how can I get my curls back really fast? (School starts tomorrow and I want everyone to notice my perm). Thanks.

After you wash your hair, try not to comb it, just kind of run your fingers through it. Then put some lemon juice (few drops from fresh lemon not lime) and scrunch it to your hair. Dont brush it after.

sounds like the rods might have been too big for your length of hair. either that or the perm didn't take. call the salon right away and demand that they take you today to see what the problem is. unfortunately, it is not a good idea to get it repermed for another two weeks (to let your hair settle down)
if the perm took and relaxed too much it might just take a diffuser (for your blowdryer) to spring it back up
don't relax it either it will damage the hair beyond repair

only wash your hair once a week dont swim whith a perm in your hair w/o wearing a swimming cap and every 3 weeks put a perm relaxer in your hair

after washing ur hair leave it semi dry then u put on your hair cream! it can make ur perm last!

i would go back to the person who done it..tell them what you did and have them fix it! if they wont fix it tell them you want your money back
