some people are so ignorant. Locking hair is an age old tradition favoured by thousands of people who are still alive and well.
Ignorant people think locking hair is dirty, but why is it dirty if it is washed regularly. Hair can only carry fungus and disease if it is unclean, but in all of my life, and medical career, I have not heard of anyone dying from the state of their hair.
I suggest that you do not use bees wax, as this clogs in the hair and attracts lint and dust - which is difficult to remove and lets ignorant people think that all people who adorn their head with locs are dirty.
As I suggested before go to a professional loctition who know what they are doing and can tell you the right way to loc-up.
Good luck

I use to have dreads just go out and buy professional Bee's Wax.They sell them in some salons or beauty supply stores.Don't buy a brand too cheap though. You should also twist them every day.

Why would you want dreads to begin with, they are nasty and make you smell like wet dog....but if you REALLY want them just let a chicken or squirrel loose on your head.....2 hours later, Presto!! Dreadlocks

just keep rolling it between your hands and stroke it up and down.
also add glass beads(they look cool) I had dreadies once.
contrary to beliefs washing is good and using wax and other stuff is what makes them nasty.
