I have a party on Christmas. It's neither formal nor casual, but somewhere in between. I don't have the money or the time to go out and buy a whole ensemble. Can you give me some tips on how to spice up any outfit for the holidays?

My 12 year old niece wants to get her ears pierced but she is scared of the pain and what may happen. She couldn't get her ears done when she was a baby because my family has a certain tradition. We can't put holes or marks on our child without permission. So what websites show us the tools used by a doctor? And what will happen if the doctor did it?

I've have really acne prone skin, but my parents keep telling me that they had the same type of skin when they were younger and that I shouldn't worry because like them my skin will eventually clear up. should I be worried?

ok, first off,,,,i never wear makeup...i'm 22 yrs old.
so i go to macys with my two friends and we decide to try on makeup
the ladies at the makeup counter put foundation on my two friends. they look great and go to have their eyes done.
the lady does mine...it takes her 4 tries to get the color right (i'm yellow undertone...i coulda told her that much :))
then, she gets it looking ok and i leave
2 min later, the whole thing cracks....completely. i look like something from the black lagoon.
so the lady wipes it off, applies moisturizer and tries two more times with something else.
I look at it...it still doesn't look great....
she doesn't know what's wrong and sorta avoids any comments and nobody offers to do anymore makeup on me :(
so what's going on? Is my skin weird, or just doesn't work with their makeup?

If you read the entire statement then you would see that i stated fashion is ones opinion and all i pointed out were a couple of questions one which was an incorrect answer about the tags being torn off clothing that is not an opinion that is a fact and yes i have been in fashion for over 15 years as a stylist, retailer and visual merchandiser so i do have some qualifications and if u read any of my answers i always write to make sure u are comfortable with whatver u wear and u like it and I also stated i did not want to offend anyone but if an aswer is incorrect likr the torn tag it should be corrected and u shouldn't just answer a question with a wrong answer, not talking about fashion per say and to all th ehostile people fashion is an opinion but some opinions r just WRONG!!!

I dont want my hair any shorter, in fact im trying to grow it out a lot by summer, but i want to get rid of these tragic looking split ends. My friend said that you can get your hair wet, put on some vitamin E conditioner, and run a lighter up and down and it'll take off the split ends, but im afraid it will damage my hair even worse, or start it on fire. has anyone ever tried that? are there any ways to get rid of split ends without a haircut?

i have light brown hair. It's 2 inches off my sholders, i have long layers. They make my hair spring outwards at the bottom only in the front though.I also have long bangs probley two inches below my chin. and i also cut some of those bangs so when those are up i have short bangs, so when i put all my hair up i have short bangs..HELP!! While I give my friend lots of credit for having the nerve to pull off clothes that most of us wouldn't wear even if we had Giselle's body, I find that sometimes I am embarrassed for her by how she dresses. Even in professional environments, she tends to choose mini-skirts, plunging v-necks, stilettos, backless tanktops, and belly-skimming baby dolls. As is, these types of clothing seem to be questionable for most average-sized women, I feel that with her body type, they should be further avoided. Her boobs fall out of her tops, her belly fat oozes from the waistband, she falls and snaps the heels of her shoes frequently, and at the beach, you can barely see her thong because it's overlapped by rolls of fat. How do I (diplomatically) tell her she needs to reconsider her sense of style of which she is so proud of?

i am not trying to offend anyone but I have been involved in fashion for over 15 yrs-I can't beleive how incorrect answers are that i have read ie:someone asked why the tag is ripped in some clothing from stores like TJ Maxx and the best answer was so you can't return them to dept stores- that is incorrect -they are torn because stores such as TJ, Marshalls,AJ Wright buy Off price and defective goods and the company that sold them such as rocawear will rip the tag because it is defective piece-u might not even see the defect but it did not make it to their qualifications so it is sold off price another question was can someone wear an off white suit now some answers were great but somepeople staed NO! of course u can as one answer pointed out make sure the material is a warmer fabric and as i answered add a touch of color-PLease people becareful what u answer yes everyone has there own opinion of fashion but somethings are just ridiculously answered

I dyed my hair black in october and then tried to lighten it in november with very little result. I bought a color-stripper which says then I can re-dye my hair right away, so I bought a dark blonde color. Will this work or is there a better way? Thanks!

I heard that to make your lips softer/smoother ect. you should brush them lightly with your toothbrush before you go to bed at night, and that by doing this, you'll wake up with softer lips. Does anyone know if this actually works or not?
