dry....not wet, it will mess it up. Try on a strand of your hair first to make sure it is the right color you want.

Hair has to be dry for either procedure. If you want your hair to be red all over, the best thing to do is dye. Go to Sally's or any other beauty supply store and get a good product. You can usually talk to one of the sales people, and they can help you with color choice. It is not that expensive(like 20 bucks maybe less). Highlighting damages your hair more because of the bleach, I recomend it more when you are trying to be blond. For highlights you need a cap and someone to pull out the hair, if you have never done it before. If your hair is dark, highlighting can give you redish golden highlights, but you will need another product on top of the highlights(red dye) to make the color even. So if you are doing this yourself you are better of with a dye. My hair is medium brown, and I use clairol frost and tip, but it gives me copper toned blond highlights. My hair doesnt look red. Or you can clip out the hair you want to achieve from a magazine, go to a salon and ask how much it would cost to get hair like in the picture. then ask what is the name of the procedures that they would have to do, ask the person to describe the procedure. If you think you can handle doing it yourself go for it. Good Luck

Maybe take a look at slightly smoothing balm/cream like Frizz Ease Secret Weapon. Use just a bit and rather unfold it frivolously on each fingers, then follow to hair cautiously smoothing fingers over floor, now not getting an excessive amount of in anybody discipline and comb via. This must be carried out to dry hair. It might take a couple of instances to get the dangle of ways a lot to make use of, begin with a teensy bit after which develop as wanted. It can be re-carried out whilst wanted. It additionally has a sunscreen that protects your hair and provides shine, too. Another one to take a look at, Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk which can be utilized on damp hair with a blow dryer or on dry hair. I even have used shine sprays, when you consider that they include a few oil and have a tendency to gentle as good as shine. Great stuff available in the market at present! Where was once all these items whilst I was once an adolescent?! I would have used a straightening iron then, too, for goodness sake! :)

you should color/hightlight your hair DRY..and if you aren't sure if you will like a color on you(red) highlight/lowlight your hair with the color you want to try. alot of the time you can put a few on the top of your head and around of your face to get the gist. make them enough to be noticeable but there is no need to damage all of your hair and decide you don't like it...the best answer will always be to visit a salon and allow a professional do it.

it depends on the brand whether you should have wet or dry hair. also, the color of your hair will determine if it will all look good red or if you should just highlight.
