Why did she collapse? Loss of blood from death and fainting causes everything to become less vibrant and ashen; skin, etc... If you wanted to be dramatic perhaps the bright blue eyes become a pale gray or pure white from rolling up. Otherwise if it is a horror or fantasy story go for theatrical effects like glowing red or solid black.

Ivy green so it creates an exotic look if your character is more quiet type then just plain old brown or a dark colour
