I have tried to get movie jobs but all i can find are ones for 18 and older and the ones I do find that are young enough, the audition is a month away. And for me that means a lot of hair ripping, teeth whitening, and spending tons of money on spray tans and countless tubes MAC Lipglass.

On my acting cover letter, should it be from me, or from one of my parents. Ex:
Attn. Ms Agent
Enclosed you will find my resume. Hope to hear from you soon.
Cam Thomas
or
Attn. Ms Agent
Enclosed you will find my daughters resume.....

My parents are involved 100% and I have heard agencies rather have the cover letter fom the parent. However, I have also been told that agencies like kids that show initative by making the letter from them. What do you suggest?

I'm hoping to start this dialogue up to begin a screenplay about 4 friends and their nighlife in Manttan. The film begins, and the 4 best friends/and 4 women are sitting in a New York cafe booth with coffee at their reach.

My school is doing the Music Man for our play this year. We are doing the shorter version of it, and I got the part of Gracie Shinn.
I do not have a script yet, and we are on winter break, there is no way i can ask my director, because she is on vacation.
So i was wondering a few things:

-do I sing in the chorus ?
-how many total scenes will i be in ?
most importantly- do i get to dance ?

i'm 15 years old and i'm auditioning for our school musical. it is thoroughly modern millie and i have to find a 50-70 second monologue that parallels the character i'm auditioning for. i think i'm going to audition for one of the girls that lives in the hotel with millie. if anyone can help me find a monologue that would be great.

We've been together for almost a year and I've always known that he wanted to do acting. Hes really good at it and has a lot of other amazing skills. Well just recently I'd say for about the past month hes really been starting to get noticed. He works for a new website kind of like a myspace and is in the promoting area. Hes gotten really close to some important people that can help him get discovered so hes a lot more busy with them trying to get on there good side so they will help him. Hes out more and has less time to hang out with me now since hes always going out with them working or just goofing off. I understand what hes doing and why hes doing it but I cant help but miss him and wish he had more time to be with me. I want to be supportive but I cant help but get upset when he cant see me.

What do I do?

I have many questions about acting and there is one reason why, because at my drama class the teacher doesnt teach drama!! So i need to learn how to act by myself, you can help my and others in my situation by answering this question!

What are some ways/techniques one can cry on cue?
(Apart from feeling what the character feels) What other methods are there, eg. how would you position your face, ect blah...blah

ALSO as an actor what are your i)STRENGTHS and how do you act them? eg/ i am good at .........to show this by ......

And your ii)WEAKNESSES? and how do you perform them now -that you feel doesnt work? How would you want to perform them?
eg/ i cant cry on cue..i sually scrunch my face but it doesnt work, i need help to do this right like good actors do!..

I'm 13 years old, and my biggest passion is acting. I understand I’m young and everyone says their sure this will change. But for now, it’s what it is. So please take this as seriously as I am.

In a few months I’m applying for a Jr. Apprenticeship to help be a stage hand at a local theater. I'd love to have this opportunity because it's such a great learning experience.

It sounds pretty tough to get into but I think I could have a fair chance at it.

Even still when applications and interviews roll around in a few months, I want to make sure I’m ready, and I feel prepared.

So if anyone had any suggestions on how I could study up on acting, stage theater anything - please I'm open to your suggestions.

Anything like -

Voice, Shakespeare, movement, Improvisation, vocabulary, tips, personal stories, books websites podcasts, really anything.

I have tried many times to find open auditions on the internet but i can never find them. When i find auditions they always say they are closed auditions! I really want to be an actress it is my life long dream! But HOW? please help! tell me of any auditions you know of. Tell me anything that will help. 1)What are the best acting techniques out there? (how do you BECOME the character?)

2)How can you get an agent? What is the process?
