Should I dye it red and at the beginning of the show have messy hair and then after intermission have pincurls? or should I get 2 wigs? All the wigs I look at are fro-esc. HELP! Any good NOT FRO wig websites for annie? PLEASE help

I've become obsessed with wanting to be an actress. But im not really sure of how to practice. There arent any local theatres or anything, my school doesnt do plays, and Im not really sure If I can afford to take acting lessons. Its something that I really want to do though. Any ideas? please?

and also, what do they look for during auditions? do they have you memorize lines beforehand? I tried watching Miley Cyrus's audition tapes for help, but im still a little confused. Any tips would be helpful. =] thanks

I am really not sure what part I should aim for in Music Man Jr. I think I am a good singer, but I don't take lessons and I have trouble singing the high notes (I am not aiming for Marian). I am good at learning a lot of lines and I love playing "extreme" characters, like if they very angry or peppy (I can handle most emotions). I would like a solo in singing or dancing, and I don't want a minor part that only appears in the show once, I want to push myself and get a good role in this musical. What part do you recommend for me? (I am a girl)

i want to become a actress but im not sure what i do about the situation i am in.
i dont have any qualifications
i have just left school so i have to sort something out soon
i dont have hardly any confidence

my mum says to me how am i going to become a actress with no confidence and no qualifications

but acting is the career i want

I have to rewrite Act 1, Scene 3 into a script, as if I were in the 70's. I can do that just fine, it's just that I don't understand most of the scene. Basically I don't understand the sex joke that the Nurse says. Can anyone translate the sex joke thoroughly, or the whole scene? Or does anyone know a good Shakespeare translation site? Any help would be appreciated.

I am 13 and have wanted to be on broadway for years. I am very talented (or so say my coaches) and work hard. I am already in singing, acting, and plays. I think I have my mother convinced to let me find an agent and go on some auditions... but there is one problem. I don't know what to wear. My theatre teacher makes us wear black dresses with black jazz shoes to OAP auditions. But I have no clue what a I should wear to an audition for TV or film. I have a bunch of new cute (professional looking) blouses I want to wear, but can't find any good skirts. Also, would it be acceptable for a girl to wear black pants with a blouse?? Where can I find cute black dresses?... mine's too small:/

I know you're not supposed to buy agents, but I live in a small town and no one is going to "find" or "discover" me anytime soon. I have been in a couple of movies, even as a little sister in a feature-film, but where do I go from here? And not in theater--I'm going to join a theater. I've also taken lessons. I really prefer films, and joined a couple of sites, but they're really not that much help. Thanks!

And I suppose it is true. My real self is in here but I find the skin of a chameleon Very Natural. Having been around a wildly diverse setting as a child in NYC during the 70's and having a life full of adventure and Misadventure Including many jobs that were "acting" Jobs.. Teacher, Sales, Bartender, Rock musician etcetcetc... I'm a real slice of life without even trying... how to parley that into an acting 'Career" (maybe the wrong word) ? I have no desire to be rich and famous and all that other nonsense that star struck youngsters initially think of... I have the skill of adaptation and mimicry and a real world understanding of different personality types.
But at 42.... how does as old fart like me get going with this life long dream?

I want to learn how to accurately imitate other voices. I saw a guy on YouTube imitate 100 famous TV characters in less than 5 minutes and I'm jealous. Does anyone know any special techniques or where I can learn how? Best answer gets 10 points, and if your answer is REALLY good I'll give you an extra ten later in a question called "to the victor go the spoils".
