Well I am kind of in the entertainment business and one of the first things that I learned, was to always be optimistic. Secondly, do not take anything to heart. If you do not make the part, do not make it a personal thing. These agents know what they are looking for when you go in to audition. Now, a lot of these actress' and actors that you see on tv and in movies either knew someone in the business when they started or they had to go to hundreds of auditions. Also, many of them went to a School for the Performing Arts to work on their craft. I do not know how old you are but do not get discouraged. Even though there are many young actors and artist such as Chris Brown or Raven Samone, there are also older actors and artist who did not make it big until later on. For example, Steve Harvey, he did not make it big big until about 1996 when he got his own show and by then he was already 41. So do not give up, if it is your dream then you will be patient and eventually God will bless you if it is meant to be. But if you need help finding anything, then just email me at king_golden07@yahoo.com

Before you start looking for auditions, you might want to ask yourself if you are ready to audition. Have you had any training yet? Without it, you might be able to get some extra work or go to your comunity theatre.
At any rate, the absolute best advice I could give you is to go to this page on my site for new and aspiring actors and study it. You'll find 23 links to pages that will explain to you a lot of different aspects about how to get started, especially links 10-15.

If you have had some training, and some amateur acting experience, then you can look for auditions on job boards or via actors' union sites. Alternatively, you could get in touch with amateur or community theatre groups' managers or directors, and ask them for tips. Another option is to look in the yellow-pages for agents.

Join the Drama Department at your school. Ask your parents to call the Community Theater in the city where you and ask if you can be a volunteer at the Theater.

there is no web site that will make you a star, there are scams that take your money like one of your answerers recommends (stupid). if you are under 18, your parents will have to work hard for your career, it is the only way.

It depends on where you're located. In the US, a major source of casting calls is "Backstage Magazine." Try www.backstage.com
