is it because of their ethnicity? therefore not being able to play parts in movies such as histories of wars, family movies or anything that requires a group of certain people?
also, people say because of their english, its often hard to cast them as well.

As everyone in Britain should agree, the Panto is the best form of theatre at Christmas time... at any time.

Adult theatre is too boring for kids. Kids theatre is too lame for adults. Pantos are all round good fun.

Do they have them in America... If not, why not? Start a campain!

I need two contrasting ones for my district competition that will hopefully take me to states and I can't find good ones anywhere.

I hope the term "published plays" is pretty self-explanatory.
You know, they're copyrighted, they have a publisher...
(Trust me, kids in my class have a hard time figuring out what that means for some unknown reason.)

For drama class we're doing radio shows and we have to change our voices for this. My group is doing a little kid show. When person has a deep voice, the other has a lisp, and then I don't know what to do. We can't like suck in helium or anything, so do you have any ideas? Any tips to help me? I'm a girl by the way, if that affects anything.
Thanks!

I've had to do extensive research in many of the roles I've been fortunate enough to get. Some I feel I did really well and others I felt I could have done better, looking back on it. Is there a role that you had to do a lot of research and planning and preparation for that you had a particularly hard time with? For those of you who take life too seriously and want to insult the structure of this question please refrain from answering. I'm only trying to create an interesting dialogue among fellow actors; not figure out the meaning of life.

I have an assignment in which I have to research how stage and film actors prepare for a character. This includes them observation, research, and character development. It would be helpful if you could tell me stories of actors, famous or not, preparing for a role, techniques for doing so, or even a helpful website. I understand that this is a weird request, but any help would be appreciated!

I'm writing a version of Cinderella set this day and age and she's going to be a high school student. It's also going to be a musical. I'm writing it for our high school drama club that I'm a part of and I really want to play to the lead. I told my writing partner about it and she said it's never been done before at our school. And that's true, the writer never stars in the play themshelves but I can't imagine anyone else playing the role but me. Is that being egostistical or is it okay?

Vice President of casting from a TV network requested a general interview with me but doesn't say what it's about. Agency mentions a feature but no one says anything else....Is this considered an audition of sorts?
