Do most Chinese people get hired in auditions for movies even though your 15?

so, what are all the broadway plays that are on at the moment? can u lisr 12-14 if u cant list them all?
u dont have to give me the details of the show, i'll look that up on my own. If u cant give me names, can u give me at least a website wear i can see the plays??

it cant be RENT or WICKED
i've already seen them (rent twice, i would kill to see it again) this is just to get an idea of what my options are, my parents are taking me to a play for christams and i want ideas of whats out there, so thank u :)

I am currently doing the play "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" in drama and I have to learn alot of lines, around 4 or 5 massive paragrapgs in 3 days

How can I learn so many lines in such little time? Hints and tips people?..

I know that a few people have asked this before, but I wanted to see whether I could gather anymore ideas.

Can anyone recommend a good book about getting in to the acting industry? It is for a teenaged girl (around 15) who wants to know how to best prepare herself for an acting career.

Only serious answers please, I've already warned my sister it will be difficult. I want to send her something that will actually help her out! Also looking for any other books that might help her with her theory / method - what ever it is actors need to know, I'm even more clueless than her.

Any help appreciated!

My daughter is threw with sports and ready for the lime light. She wants more than anything to be in a movie even if she's just in the background. I know that there is probably alot more to it then signing up, but I don't want to thwart one of her dreams just because it might take a little work. My concern is in getting led astray by people just looking to make some cash (I guess I've seen one too many movies with scandalous 'talent scouts' and 'managers'.... Could someone please point me in a direction that leads to honest people with the childrens best interests in mind?

in a market where the actor gets 'scale plus 10%', how do you figure out how much to pay the agent? do you pay 10% of scale? do you pay the agent 10% on overtime?? what about other added monies like food/wardrobe, are you to pay the agent a percentage of this? Please if you know the answer, please site a source i can refer to thanks so much for your help! (i looked at the sag site and reviewed a sag contract, but could not find an answer to this specific question)

Minimal set and costumes would be best. Low-budget is key here. Any information on royalty fees for suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well. Looking for something quirky and fun for non-theater majors to perform. Thanks for the help!

I have been involved in musical theater for the majority of my life now and really can't imagine my life any other way. I am the practical actress and going to school with a fall back plan. That plan has always been to teach kindergarten in the unfortunate case that things don't work out as being a performer in musicals. I am currently going to a community college and am gearing up to transfer to either UCLA or Cal State Fullerton. As of lately I have become more and more aware of how called I feel to working in theater in New York. In the past I have always thought I would be perfectly happy and content teaching kindergarten but lately I have felt that I might go insane if I am unable to be part of the broadway family. I just want to be there, preferrably as an actress but if I never get cast I would still love to make a career out of working in some aspect of musicals and broadway. This is what leads me to my question. What careers are there in musicals?

I live in New Zealand and have not seen it in any bookshops or libraries and don't want to buy it off the internet if I don't have to.

I got a call from them today and they made an appt for Sat. I checked out there website and it was just one page..So, I asked them "How long has your company been around"? they stated "one year". If anyone knows about them or has actually attended there appt.Can you give me some feedback? I don't want to go there and waste my time with them.Any feed back would be a great help.Thanks..
