I have looked at many sites, and found most of their credibilities less than impeccable. Which sites are the best and can be trusted? Also, I just moved to NYC, does anybody know where in the city are the best places for informations on casting calls and auditions? Thanks!

my friend and i was both in middle school and every recess we sorda have this "theater workshop" if thats what you'd call it. for the past 3 weeks, we would (we have a couple other i'd say 4 or 5 other people in the group) bring in plays of our own and act it out. now, we're on the singing portion. but i kinda wanna make it into a little theater group where every month we would have our own play and then audition, cast, rehease, and then perform it at the end of the month. what's a good, 30 min. play that's fun that we could do? or maybe we kinda wanna do something from Disney like aladdin, lion king, and just kinda shorten the script a bit. if u have any ideas and LINKS to the scrips I'd give u a full 10 pts. THANKS SO MUCH!
only real people with real professional experience come to this. thanks. ps-we're not amateurs. we've been involved in various prof. productions :) thanks please make it disney!

the play is colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf

how did the performance affect you?

i responded that i believe that it made me think that it does not matter what colored skin you have all women suffer in someway the sameand different.

well, when I was 6 years old; my father, my brothers, and I would always sit in a circle and impersonate a character.
Like anything from a famous person to an animal or object such as a car.
we got that idea from watching the movie "the professional" (with Natalie Portman)

I completed Drama One-Drama Three in Middle School their is no way not to be in Drama One in High School. The thing is we do not act in drama one every day we come in and we take notes she lecture about famous writers using cuss words to display our language. Every week we have a test and most kids fail because the information is irrelevant or boring. She makes us memorize dates and names and famous works and when we do get to hear these works that they did they are usually about inappropriate content. She tells us to be good actors you must know the history of drama the complete history. This year we will learn Greek, Renaissance, Japanese, American, African, English drama we read works like Antigone by Sophocles. I know that knowing the fundamentals is essential but really! , After all the kids started failing she said since everyone is failing Drama I am going to get rid of the review sessions because no one listens to them! Rebuttal tell me what you think and what you feel?

Well... near my house is a acting place and this is my second year doing it.... after my first play I worked my butt off... I would act at home all the time and try to think of characters and act them out and I even practice making my self cry. So I auditioned (everyone makes it even though they are good or bad at it) and I spoke loud and clear and I thought I was pretty good... I got into character and everything. I get a call saying I have ABOUT 4 lines in the whole 3 or 2 hour play! 4!!!!!!!!! I can't stop being upset about it! I know alot of kids auditioned but most of them weren't loud enough and were REALLY young like 6 or 7. I am 13 and last year I was a cat and I had more lines as the cat last year! this year I am barley in the play and I want to cry! I worked my butt off and this is what I get! I want to quit but I know my mom will say no! I HATE this and I don't like it... please help and tell me what can take my mind off it... I tried watching t.v. but it hasn't worked... :(

I know i already asked this sorta but it was very unclear.
i just tried out for annie. i want annie, and i dont want to sound braggish but i think i can pull it off. the only thing is, i am 5'3 and im not skinny, but im not fat, im average. do you REALLY think they will judge me by that if im a good performer? i have been told that i have incredible stage presence.

So i have this party with my choir saturday and every section got a different musical to dress up as. I got hairspray and i was thinking that since there are black and white people in the musical, but no black people in my section, i should be black somehow. My friend said she had some stage makeup bronzer stuff that might work.

So could a bronzer work? it would be on my face, arms, legs etc...but i also dont want it coming off on my clothes or anything i touch. If not bronzer do you know anything that would work?
