modeling agents?

I feel that I am "superstar" material, but need to be "furnished.." What is the job of a modeling agent? how do i get one? Do i pay them?? Are there any reputable ones in dallas fort worth area?

The big agencies are in NYC. Send good photos of yourself to them with a very brief letter asking them to represent you as a model. There may be a couple in Dallas. do a web search and do your submissions. Avoid places that sell lessons like Casablancas, Barbazon, and Powers.
