How can I get FILM acting experience? I want to act in film, and I have some stage experience, but lots of big actors haven't done stage, so how can I find auditions? I live in Chicago. And please don't give me an online audition site like actorsaccess or castingcall because those are scams.

I'm fourteen years old so I need a song appropriate for my age range. The musical is going to be 'Kiss Me Kate'. Auditions are in december, I need to start preparing now. The song needs to be at least 16 measures long, needs a dance with it, and needs to be memorized. I've auditioned for a few plays before, I've been in a school musical, and I'm in the school choir now, but I'm not sure how to dance. I don't now how I would prepare a dance to go with this song. Any ideas on which song and dance I could use to audition with? I don't know any songs from any plays....

I want to read a monologue from the vagina monologues for my audition at Juilliard but I'm not sure if its realy consitered a play. They said it had to be from a play and not a mono. book. It is a play but it is also just like reading a mono book outload. It is my best mono and I have gotten crazy good results form it. What do you think. Can I read it? Thanks for the imput.

She is interested in playing flute for plays, concerts, bands, ect. I don't think that she needs a Music Major for that, but I am not sure. I hate to say it, but I am really, really worried about her going into student loan debt for a major like Music. I am afraid that she will graduate with a lot of debt and be unable to make a living playing music.

I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has played the flute professionally. She know there is a lot of competition in flute. She did make county honor band, so she can play well.

We're set on doing a new movie. Problem is, this is our first time we're ready to do an open casting call for roles in the movie. What are the steps we take from beginning to end, to make sure we have what we need to begin shooting.

How do we schedule?
Where should we look?
Who's the most important to pay?
How do let them know which parts are open?

Please tell me the beginning to end

Obviously an actor can improve greatly through training, but do you think that you could take a bad actor and turn him into a great one... or do you think it is mostly instinct.

I think its instinct, but i'd like to hear your opinions
thanks

Me and my friends really want to produce a broadway musical in our school's theater. We have the vocal/chord book and script. We know the blocking/etc. Would we still get in trouble if we produced it without paying and not charge people to come watch us?

The musical is currently on broadway and touring.
