I'm tryin out for the school play and I'm doing a scene where I loose my voice

I need to sound like I lost it...so if u have any strategys to loose it or make it sound like it give em too mee !!

I do a kind of stage whisper but I hold my breath to the back of my mouth instead of at the front.

Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in the Scooby Doo movie, made his voice sound hoarse by screaming loud for a short period of time.

I don't recommend it though. Becoming hoarse after screaming really loud means that you are slightly damaging your vocal cords.

Just practice pretending to be hoarse.

Scream really LOUD for 20 minutes and you will lose your voice.
