i really want to become an actress, i have always wanted to but i have never taken any acting classes. the problem is i am not very good in front of people. i get really nervous and mess up. i am in the school play but i am just a very minor role (a background person). i am a teenage girl and i feel like the time is running out and it might be too late to actually be able to become an actress. i always hear of peope starting really young and doing it their whole lives (being in commercials and stuff) but i have never done any of that. i think that i could be a good actress if i wasnt as shy and didnt get so nervous in front of people. i dont even know how to become an actress but i would really like to give it a try. do you think it is too late to try becoming an actress? any suggestions about how to become an actress. or how to not get so nervous in front of peole.

Is Mabel Chiltern's proposal monologue from an Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde a very popular audition piece for a comedic monologue? I don't want to do anything that is overdone, or done often. I have very little audition experience, could anyone just name a few very popular pieces so that I can steer away from them?

Has anyone ever been in this play or knows a good way of learning lines. I play the 10th Jror by the way.

I need a scene from Shakespeare's works (Hamlet,Romeo and Juliet etc) where there is a dialogue between 3 characters. We have to play a part from Shakespeares's plays at school and we are 3 in the group. So we need just 3 characters.

Acting has been something that I always wanted to do but I was wondering if 23 yrs old would be a little old to start off. I'm an 18 yrs old senior in highschool right now but I want to go to college so I have a degree to back me up in case I don't make it big in this Acting business(although I hope I do) I will be pursuing acting classes and oppurtunities before I graduate from college and move to LA when that time come. But I just wanted to know if any famous Actor started off at 23?
