when u worked as a Movie Extra, did u work full or part time...and how many hours...from wht time to wht? Did u pick your own time to work, what bout the days u have off, do u work everyday, or atleast a few days a week? How much did u get paid, how was it like?

You work the amount of time, days and number of days it takes to do the scene you are in, you do not get to pick anything about the work except if you want to do a particular job when it comes along, but if you turn down too many, they will not consider you any longer. You get paid about $75 a day and meals. It is just standing around waiting until they are ready to film the scene and then doing what the assistant director has told you to do. It is pretty cut and dry, nothing exciting, no real acting involved.

was an extra in [young guns] that was filmed in parrot GA.got paid 50 per per Scene.you don't pick any thing,you stand around all day an some days they don't pick you.not a job to make a living.it took 2 months to shoot the whole movie,and i made 500 dollars in 2 months.just did it to say, i did it.and i was there everyday.
