Looking for input from folks with first-hand knowledge of the various Theater Arts programs at any UC and/or CSU campuses for a high school senior with a passion for the performing arts. Which programs would you recommend looking into, and why? Any that you would avoid? Thanks for any input.

I would avoid any except some very exculsive, very expensive schools back East if you want to be an actor. I am not sure what a passion for the performing arts entails. It could be you just love opera, theatre, and ballet, as well as symphony and choral preformances. Want to clarify? If you go to college, the liberal arts education you will get will be more important than the theatre education you get. read my profile and write to me at my aol address for more info.

The UC campus are actual greater prestigious and study-oriented than maximum CSU campuses. A UC campus might have greater useful get entry to to financial components and students, fairly for the sciences. There are actual prestigious CSU campuses with sturdy biology classes (Cal Poly SLO, SDSU) that must be completely effective for an undergraduate coaching. besides the shown fact that, in case you're given the alternative, i might virtually uniformly propose a UC campus.
