Acting Head shots?

I would like to get a head shot done but i live in the chicago area, not LA or NY. do you have any places to get a head shot??

You need a good B&W as a stock head shot and maybe some wallet size color for extra agencies.

Generally you should not be paying more than $200 and you should have the rights in writing to duplicate for promotional purposes.

In the past most people used Duplicate Photo in Los Angeles

They will make an 8 x 10 negative and put your name and contact information on the bottom for a small fee and if you order a large quanity the price is very low.

They used to do real photos

You can also use your computer and a printer and card stock to make prints, but it's like $2 each to make them.

You can also use Wal-Mart on line which is under $2 each for 8 x10s

You can make your own NAME and CONTACT info in Photoshop but make sure it's in a final 8 x 10 format so nothing gets cropped or cut off.

For a nominal fee Wal Mart will package and send direct to any address, but you are looking at about $8 per 8 x 10 to do it this way, but it cuts a lot of work and hassel out.

I do NOT personally recommend any of them since I am not in your area and have never used any of them. You would have to check them out for yourself. Prices will vary greatly so I Would look at their headshot galleries, see what appeals to you most, make a list of questions you want to ask and see who you feel most at ease with.

i dont live anywhere near there, so i dont know. im a dancer and we use headshots too and i just got mine done at a nearby photography studio (it turned out great!). just try looking around and calling photography studio near you and asking if they do head shots. there isnt a designated spot normally where people take headshots.
