I am the same age as you and am the exact same way and have the exact same problem. I spend my spare time in my phonebook under theaters, or I mapquest with my starting address and then type in theaters-live in the end place box and it will bring up locations with there phone#s and call and ask if they are having any auditions they need my age group for. The rest of my life is for school and PRACTICING!

Check around in your community theaters for some children's workshops. I'm sure you hate being called a kid at 14, but definitely look into them! If you can't get involved in drama in high school, those will be the next best thing, if not better!

Community theatre, youth theatres and school will always have roles for someone your age.

If not, put on your own plays.

Also, people your age are in high demand when it comes to commercials/print work.

If you would like a better answer we need a more specific area, we need a location, even if it's just a broad generalization, that'll help.

There are child labor laws that not only prevent you from working until you are 16, but you cannot sign a contract until you are 18. So relax and prepare so when you get there you will be terrific!
