The duet we are doing is called Simply Ernest: its about to british women that start out saying there going to be the best of friends and then find out there engaged to the same man and then that he doesnt exist and they are like I hate you but they are really proper lol. Anyways I used to have a really good accent but I havent practised in forever any tips on memorizing my lines and perfecting my accent?

I was recently cast as the male lead in the school play, but as the understudy. It was between me and this other guy and he won I guess lol. I'm happy for making that, but at the same time its just kind of a downer bc I'm going to have to learn all the lines for nothing. In the meanwhile, because of the fact I'm the understudy for the lead, my real part is the smallest possible. I understand she did this to not overwhelm me, but honestly, I'm not sure if I should even bother learning the lines. Should I be proud, or is the understudy part truly not a big deal?

My drama teacher says that my grade can pick our play and he gave us some suggestions like Once on this Island, Guys and Dolls and Godspell. I was wondering which plays you guys would suggest? Just so you know, there are only about 4 people (3 girls counting me and 1 boy) who like to sing. The rest of my grade likes sports, rap music, Hollister...etc

And I go to a private school

thanks!

I have chosen a stage name, but I'm not sure If i can use it. I searched for it on the internet movie database, and there were like 7 results, but none of them were actors, they were all camera and technical crew and 1 director. is this name usable then since none of them are actors?

Does anyone know where I can find this script online? I prefer the stage version, but will take the film. I've already checked:
script-o-rama.com
playscripts.com
twiztv.com
dailyscript.com
scriptcrawler.com

I don't wish to purchase it (yes I know Samuel French has it) I just need the courtroom scene actually. If it comes down to it I will just watch my film version and transcript it, but I was hoping someone here would have another resource, well easier actually :-)

Thank you!

I've had a screenplay being reviewed by an A List company since May 2007. They liked it and said they needed a bit more time and would get back to me within a week. It's nearly October. I do not have an agent. It was FedExed to them. Should I call them again or wait til they call me?

Our theatre group (high school level) is doing a devising class, which is where everyone collectively writes a play. Our director wants us to bring in pictures of scenes which convey our theme, "Fitting In."

It would be great if you could help me find some good pictures (ex. One person sitting alone while everyone else is chatting), but I need them by tomorrow morning (Friday the 21st).

Please don't send me responses telling me to Google "Fitting In" - I'm quite able to do that myself (and no, that hasn't yielded any responses.

So I'd love links to images, please.

Thanks so much!!!

I need some help becoming an actress/model. I plan on moving to california in the next yr and a half. Does anyone have any advice on how I could become one? I have been in school plays and I have potential according to the director of the play and said he could see me in movies and on magazines someday. So how could I make my dream happen without waiting for years and years

i am the typical 13 yr oldgirl: skinny, brown haired blue eyed
it just seems that writers always call for someone with unique looks
like plus sizes (like tracy in hairspray)
and hispanic or asian or black people. i have a lot of talent but it seems like there are no roles in broadway or musicals i'd fit! help!
