I want to be a writer, preferrably in magazine or newspaper journalism but also have an interest in acting. Does anyone know how a theatre minor could somehow be tied in with a writing major? I also wouldn't mind writing scripts for plays/movies. Theatre interests me all around, but I'm not sure how I'd (career wise) work it in with a writing major.

does anybody know a good modeling center or agency in st. louis, mo? if so, please tell. i was thinking about going to barbizon, but everyone says it's a scam. i've seen one of their blogs on their website, and everyone thinks its a really great place. I have to prepare a 2-5 min monologue and prepare to cold read from the script. I have to get into the part I give, use my emotions, etc.
I haven't done this before so I'm completely clueless!! It has to have the style of a 1920's woman since that's the part I'm auditioning for.
Any help? PLEASE?

I was in plays in elementary school all the time but I was always just a stupin tree or a bird just having one liners and looking pretty. I'm going into Highschool this year and I want to get envolved in school again. I am so scared that I will make a complete idiot out of myself. I want to shoot for the stars, but what happens if i miss and come plumiting back to Earth? I mean it IS my first year of highschool and I'm already really nervous about just walking into the place, ya know? I want to be an actress, I want to sing, but I'm just too damn scared.
