Hi,
you wouldn't believe how many time a question like yours is asked in a week. If you do a search on answers.yahoo, you can find a multitude of answers.
At any rate, I had to say to myself, that while I love answering these questions, I don't particularly enjoy writing the same answer down from scratch each time. I like to be thorough. Act in your community theatre first. That's what I'm doing. I'm enrolled for the next session at Syracuse Children's Theatre and I'm signed up to be an actor/singer/dancer at Theatre 90. Good luck, and star search casting doesn't work that well. I was on there for about 5 months and I didn't get contacted once. I had everything they wanted on the site and a silver account and nothing happened. I think it's just a scam.

Okay first you need to get some experience, audition for a cuople plays and then about after 2 years in theater. Go to www.starsearchcasting.com and look up some auditions. The site really works Miley Cyrus got famous off that site. I saw her profile on there.

You can't. It's extremely hard for professional actors with decades of experience and top agency representation to get jobs. It's extremely difficult to even get an audition for a professional project. If you want to work for free you can do that all you want. And Miley Cyrus did not get famous off of any website.

There are several ways:
You could go to acting school first to learn more about it
Go to auditions for various roles in commercials, plays, etc..
Move to Hollywood, work as a waitress at a trendy restaurant and hope for the best
You may have to change your look if you choose #3
