To start an acting career

Hi,

you wouldn't believe how many time a question like yours is asked in a week. If you do a search on answers.yahoo, you can find a multitude of answers.

At any rate, I had to say to myself, that while I love answering these questions, I don't particularly enjoy writing the same answer down from scratch each time. I like to be thorough. So I created a resource on my website that you are welcome to download for free. It's called What It Takes To Become An Actor. It will help you with the first steps on your way to your new career. Just go to http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_get_an_agent.html and sign in and you can download it for free. It's 36 pages and I'm sure it will give you a lot of information and answer your question.

Another page you will find particularly interesting has to do with how to overcome stage fright: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_get_over_stage_fright.html . It might help you a little with your shyness.

Good luck in starting out your new career!

You are too young and too inexperienced to think about a career in performing. Get a lot more experience and try it in a few years.
