I am looking towards directing a show next spring and would also have to do all the design work as well, as it is at a small theatre. I was wondering if anyone knows of good places across the States to rent theatrical costumes? I'm stationed in Texas and seeing as I'm on a budget, would most likely only rent 5-7 outfits for my principles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My 5 year old daughter received her first callback for a movie audition. I got an e-mail with 5 "sides" or short scenes for 5 different characters. When she goes to the callback, will she be acting these scenes out alone or with other actors? 2 of the scenes are without lines and involve running around alone, the other 3 have a few lines and interact with different characters. At the first audition it was her, the casting director, a scene with 6 lines, and they filmed her on camera. Will it be the same situation, or will she have to interact with other actors? Also, it says to bring 2 headshots and resumes, do I bring 2 different headshots, or should they both be the same? Are black and white headshots preferred? (I left one headshot and resume with the casting director at the first audition.) Thank you so much for your help! I am very new at this and don't want to embarass myself or my daughter by not being prepared! Any advise would be appreciated!

I've been asked to go for a photo shoot for catologue work from a casting management company but they want £135.00 to pay for there work so that they can try to get me work. then the money for the photos will be taken out of any money I get if they find me work is this correct or is it a scam?

Ok, so I am an Australian 18yr old male. Finished school last year and haven’t even been able to just get a normal job yet as I am having no luck. I have been asking myself if I could do anything what would it be, and I said acting.

Growing up I had a speech impediment and also had an accident involving my mouth when 3 years old which lead to surgery. Had braces at 14. Growing up I struggled talking to people and didn't have anyone to help me. I didn’t have any friends or family. I have managed to get to the point where most people can't pick it up so I must be doing ok. I improve everyday as talking to people in everyday life helps.

So at the moment I have no life and don't know what to do, I would like to pursue an acting career or even work for a little bit first then try acting.
I want to be an actor; I feel I don’t have what it takes.
Other:
Looks: athletic build, pale, hair is fine at moment hope I don’t go bald, alright teeth, short/average height.
year12 average marks

I will be doing a mass mailing to agencies in Chicago, NY and LA with my headshot, resume and coverletter, however now I'm wondering if I should send out a demo reel as well? I've gotten mixed opinions regarding it from actors and agents. Some say yay while some say nay. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Ok, since it's summer and Iam not in school, I want to know if I can start getting into some acting thing. Iam 14 and I think it's a great time to start! I have sang at places be4 like churh and Iam really good. I can sing pretty high, and I think I have great potential to make it. This is something I want to do, and if I don't like it, I can quit.
