You can, but it will take the full support of your family. Everyone has to be on board because your hours can be horrendous and it can take over the lives of everyone involved. You also have to be ok with your family getting to see those great moments with your kids and telling you about them later. Arm them with a video camera and a digital camera too so they can capture everything for you!

Even a regular job would take you a way for 40 hours a week. At least this way it would be something you enjoy, right? Try it for a few months to as year and see how it goes. If you're not getting anywhere and it's wearing too hard on your family, then move on and try something more conventional.

Good luck!

You can, but you better have a babysitter, nanny, or daycare that is really good, and availible a lot. You will have to go to the auditions, and once you get the part, you will be out of the house quite a bit. It will also get easier as your kids get older, as i am assuming they are quite young. but it is possible, you just need the right opportunity. And hey! you said your family is supportive, so they would probably willing to watch your kids at a moments notice, as long as they are near by.

If you have talent and dedication, this shouldn't matter.

Ex: Jonathan B. Wright of "Spring Awakening" (2007 tony winner, best broadway musical), is 19, and has a child.

Anyone can make it, regardless their situation!

Good Luck!
