Ok, so I am an Australian 18yr old male. Finished school last year and haven’t even been able to just get a normal job yet as I am having no luck. I have been asking myself if I could do anything what would it be, and I said acting.

Growing up I had a speech impediment and also had an accident involving my mouth when 3 years old which lead to surgery. Had braces at 14. Growing up I struggled talking to people and didn't have anyone to help me. I didn’t have any friends or family. I have managed to get to the point where most people can't pick it up so I must be doing ok. I improve everyday as talking to people in everyday life helps.

So at the moment I have no life and don't know what to do, I would like to pursue an acting career or even work for a little bit first then try acting.
I want to be an actor; I feel I don’t have what it takes.
Other:
Looks: athletic build, pale, hair is fine at moment hope I don’t go bald, alright teeth, short/average height.
year12 average marks

I am not sure if I should be focusing on this or get a job in the mean time as i got nothing.

Seems hard to become an actor in Australia, I searched for local theatre companies and didn't find anything.

I wish I could become an actor right now, I know it is hard to get into and I am fully lost

You've posted this question numerous times. Numerous. Many people have offered you good and sound advice... what more could you possibly be looking for?

If you feel you don't have what it takes, you're probably right. You are what you think you are.

With that being said, to be a film actor, you build up a resume. I am aware you can't find any local theatres, but why not go back to your school and ask a drama or art teacher if they know of any oppurtunities availible.

Once you've built up your resume, send it out with a headshot and cover letter to talent agencies.

Hopefully one will get interested and sign you (it usually takes 4-6 weeks for a response). If not, after 4-6 weeks, send postcards to the same agencies (with your headshot on one side, and resume on the other).

Then, oppurtunities should come rolling!
You'll then be able to get help on any insecurities you may have.

Good Luck, and hope you become a successful actor.

Well, you are self-centered enough to be a Movie Star, but consider this: have you ever been exposed to acting?

Acting is TOUGH, mate. Work for a little bit and then try acting? It is to laugh. Acting is the hardest work there is, next to Eunuch in a Brothel.

You do not have what it takes. Try a less demanding job description, such as Celebrity. Or Politician.

I was going to say go to Hollywood but thats out of the question. If you do have a Job Labor in your area, you should check that out and maybe they can help you. Have you thought of working for a call center? Perhap Walmart can be help to you?
