What do I expect at a callback?

My 5 year old daughter received her first callback for a movie audition. I got an e-mail with 5 "sides" or short scenes for 5 different characters. When she goes to the callback, will she be acting these scenes out alone or with other actors? 2 of the scenes are without lines and involve running around alone, the other 3 have a few lines and interact with different characters. At the first audition it was her, the casting director, a scene with 6 lines, and they filmed her on camera. Will it be the same situation, or will she have to interact with other actors? Also, it says to bring 2 headshots and resumes, do I bring 2 different headshots, or should they both be the same? Are black and white headshots preferred? (I left one headshot and resume with the casting director at the first audition.) Thank you so much for your help! I am very new at this and don't want to embarass myself or my daughter by not being prepared! Any advise would be appreciated!

Congrats!

There is no telling how the callback will be run - often, they will use the same format (reading with the casting director) or they may want to see combinations of actors together. You can't control that, so don't worry about it.

Bring two of the same headsots - color is better, but b & w is still ok.

Practice the sides with her. Do them lots of different ways, so she doesn't get locked into anything. Approach them as play. She should do what the scene says, but she should not worry about doing it "right."

Expect to perform these scenes. If they are supplying them, there is a reason.

At this audition, expect to perform the scenes, it will probably be taped, and she will probably meet then more people involved in the production. She will probably not interact with other actors (that would be a screen test), and the persons present will probably read the lines.

Bring two copies of the headshot, and a composite, that should cover all images, and of course, always have your resume!

First congratulations!A call-back is definatly a big deal!Make sure she has her sides memorized and is fully prepared,by which I mean to say at a call-back,be prepared for anything!(Including being called back again.!)Head shots are important so they should be different and capture different moods.Black and White shots are fine,but color is okay too.i was one of the first to use them myself and you know what?I worked!Again,the best of luck to the munchkin!:-)

Call the Agency and ask them, they are the best source for that information.
