I am trying to find less glamorous than Bollywood-type, but richly-textured in look and emotions, character actresses in India. I like Seema Bisvas a great deal, and I know there are more, but glitz and spitz seem to be all I can find when India and movies are used in the same sentence. I am expecially interested in ones with burning dark eyes and an extremely passionate emotional range but regarding more important issues such as death in family, etc. Can you turn my on to a few? THANKS!

I need a short contemporary monologue for my up coming auditon. I'm auditioning for the role of a shy and introverted girl- mid twenties, who's weary of men due to a violent encounter.
Does anyone know of any good websites that I could get a monologue from or some plays that i could look at to get monologues?!!!
Thanks

I have a brilliant singing voice with practically no limitations. I want to be able to use it for a bit of spare cash (I can't get normal people to perform with me or anything cuz I'm out of peoples' leagues!). I live in Ireland...I don't know where to go if I want to try to get jobs singing jingles for commercials!

If you had an experience with them, do you think it's a waste of money? What would you recommend instead?

My daughter has been building her resume as an actor and model. She really wants to find out how to get a job as an American Girl Place actor or how to go about getting print work for the catalog. She has an agent, but we are not in the right market.

Thanks!

I'm in a Sherlock Holmes skit this coming April and I borrowed a pipe from a friend of mine to use as a prop. He collects them and lent this particular one to me asking me to take extra special care of it, of course. Problem is, it still smells horribly of tobacco and I can even taste the smoke when I inhale with it in my mouth. It's not very pleasant, unfotunately. I was wondering if there was any way I could possibly get rid of those things without harming the pipe itself in anyway?

I have a play 4 others (all my good friends) and I are going to present in front of the class. There's 30 lines for me to memorize, but I have it 95% memorized. I am confident in my memorization, but I don't know about my confidence in front of class. I have presented solo in front of my class before, and I am nervous, but I try not to act nervous. It works about 75% of the time, but sometimes I do get nervous and I can tell in my voice and breathing. Also, I am worried that my other friends didn't memorize all their lines. Anyway, my question is how do I just be comfortable when doing my play tomorrow in front of my class? Lastly, the girl I like is in the same class and she has front seat.

I was just looking thought the Grimmerie, reading the parts from the musical. I read the last chapter and got confused. It says:

Glinda: I've only seen a little green bottle like this one other time. And it was right here, in this room. You offered me a drink from it.
Wizard: Oh my lord -

Did she mean he was trying to get with her, like he did with Elphaba's mother?
Because she couldn't possably be the mother, she's her age!

Okay, answer time, because this is way over my head!

THANKS!
