I've become really interested in becoming a set decorator in the tv industry and/or film industry. I don't know that much about the industry but am very eager to learn more, something about this career really intrigues me. Im still at school and this year i need to do work experience. I've done a bit of research but was interested to know if you guys had any ideas on where i should go. Thank you.

I know this is long but please read! Ok, so I recently tried out for our school's play, Peter Pan and I am stuck with the absolute SUCKIEST part you could ever have. I'm the stupid crocodile. Now the thing is, my friend is too, and we're in one of those 2 person costumes where one person is the head and one is the butt. What really p i s s e s me off is that I signed up to be on the cast, which by that I ment wearing cool outfits and putting on all that stage makeup and saying lines and being on stage and having fun and stuff, and I'm stuck with a dumb part where my face isn't gunna be seen. Also, I'm only on stage 3 times in the whole play, and all I do is walk across stage. But the biggest thing that makes me mad is that I have to stay after school 2 months straight for a part that only takes me a day to memorize! I want to quit sooooo bad but the director is one of my teachers who knows me well, and I don't have the heart to quit! What do I tell the director? What do I do?

i live in fairfax. where there are like no acting auditions or anything. and i cant move because my parents wouldnt do that for sure.
im not proffesional but im kind of good at acting. i would love lessons and an agent and all that stuff. so if any of you people know where i can get this stuff close to home. or it doesnt have to be to close to fairfax but the closer the better. TELL ME!

When your hired to take over a role from another actor (recast) how do you prepare yourself like do you research the history of the character and do you watch the work of the previous actor. I want to know because this always happens on the soap operas.

You see, there is this youtheatre talent show for our area, and it is K-8 (grades). I'm in 7th grade (I'm 13) what should I sing?????? It's based on the applause of the audience, what is a hard song to sing? I can sing up to high C and I can sing alto, too, but really, what would "make the crowd go wild"?? Something hard, please! I have a few months, but I want to be prepared! *NOTE: NOTHING WITH SWEARING OR ANYTHING "inappropriate"!!!*

Hi. I'm an youngish person, and i really rally want to at least audition for a movie. I know that most large movie people's don't hold open auditions, so i'm ok with obscure/'low budget' things. The thing is, looking on the internet i'm finding, well, a lot of crap.
