Hi. I'm an youngish person, and i really rally want to at least audition for a movie. I know that most large movie people's don't hold open auditions, so i'm ok with obscure/'low budget' things. The thing is, looking on the internet i'm finding, well, a lot of crap. I was wondering where i should look if i am serious, and I don't want to be "sailor #3" in something that is probably not even going to work. Anyone?

Get ahold of your local film commission. They should have a list of everything that is being shot in your area.
Get an agent. They will get you auditions.
Check with local universitys. Students are always making student films. Get involved with them.

And if you are really serious. . . Read this book!
