I have been looking for a monologue recently for an audition to the NYT in the UK. Unfortunatly, I have not had much success. I am looking more in the direction of something from Antigone, as herself or Creon, or perhaps something more shakespearean like Malvolio. I generally tend to prefer angry, emotionally high monologues, so nothing too light hearted please! Perhaps you have used a monologue before and through it was great, I'd love to know. Also, if you know of any monologue databases or resource sites that are good, I would be grateful if you could provide them. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Well I'm 14 I'm realy into acting, I've done plays before , I've maybe taken a class or two three at the most, and I've met one producer who wanted me on th eshow , but I think it was a scam. Were can I find some place were they won't scam me, were I can learn and act and maybe get a chance. Please it's been my dream for a long time.. that and being a figure skater but unless someone has money for all that stuff and I magically get all good and suff face it that aint gunna happen..
please help.

I am auditioning for Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella at the end of May, and I would like suggestions for songs to sing that are not from the show. I plan to audition for the part of one of the stepsisters, so I would like a song that fits those characters. I am a mezzo-soprano. the audition for this show is going to be right after performing in Miss Saigon, so I would like to start looking for songs now. Thanks for all of your help. Also information on obtaining sheet music will also be helpful.

I'm working on a monologue that I have to perform in 3 weeks time. The problem is, every time I rehearse it, I cannot gather enough emotion to get myself to cry. If I could get away with not crying, then I would do that, but the monologue specifically calls for it in the stage directions. Does anyone have any surefire techniques that help them cry at will?

What did the breaking of the mirrors in the end represent?

What did giving the phantom the ring in the end represent?(Christine gives the ring)

What happened to the Phantom... or is that tacet?

...thats all I can think of! Such a puzzling story though!

like i been acting since i was little... then i went to middle school n i stopped... n now im in high school .. n even worst! i dont act at all.. but when i was little i used 2 act with my friends thats why i like acting.. plus sometimes i feel like acting i acted but no one sees me i think im really good at it but im scared at public >.< :(

Some people want to become famous and have no type of experience. Im not doubting them, but I have been told that I am very talented in so many ways. I can sing, dance, act, model, im pretty (and not only from my own point of view) and I do a top-notch job at all of them. I just dont know how to find auditions or talent agencies. How can I find them? Ive already been in many productions and im comfortable on stage. I really want to accomplish this dream before I get in the 11th grade. I have an impeccable grade point average. What do you suggest I do?
