Our parents and grandparents have done it all. They've lived through the times of war, poverty, corruption.. They went through hard times, and were part of rebellions and protests.. They've immigrated to America so that their children wouldnt have to suffer like they did..

Our elders have lived.
I mean, truly lived!! They shed blood sweat and tears, all to give us the life they never had.

Now, we live in comfort.
..In boring comfort. Taking for granted all they've been through.

They fought the wars.
They've kept starvation away from us.
They gave us the oppurtunity to further our oppurtunities..

They've done it all.
..and now theres nothing that we can do.

Theres nothing we can do to truly live anymore..

..do you think this is true?

to end the suffering of animal, what of a human?

Annually, we end the end the suffering of millions of animals through euthanasia. Yet we expect our fellow citizens to suffer endlessly and needlessly.

I grew up with the impression that Jesus Christ is somewhat a mixed up of middle easten race, good height and the facial features were blue eyes, fine boned nose with beards. He looks handsome enough in all HIS statues in churches as well as in pictures or in documentary or movies.

The Arabs knew of Aristotle's works long before St. Thomas Aquinas rediscovered them for the Western world. Did the Arabs incorporate any of Aristotle into their culture, and if so, what effect did it have on them?

On the issue of life, which is the more important of the two? Is it a long life that you seek, or is it a quality of life that you seek even if the duration is less?

Ok I was reading the Christian version of "The Secret" and after reading a few pages I got deeply disturbed about something. This author was saying that nothing is destined to happen and it is what we do that attracts good or bad stuff. That if you judge you'll be judge, if you are sweet people will be sweet to you, if you're mean and so on.

Well what about people who get murdered and raped? What about that woman who got raped and killed at red lobster?! How is that her fault?! How did she attract that predator? I highly doubt she was wearing revealing clothes! What about an infant who's victim to some perverted crime? What about a girl who's extremely modest(both physically and personality wise) goes on this date and gets raped because she doesn't know anything about sex and noone told her about what guys say and act when they want it?

That it's their fault?! Is this what this so called Christian is saying? more to come......

As I see it, this is one of the most important elements in life. Studying Philosophy can prevent wandering through life without a sense of purpose, and it poses some of the most important questions in humanity. Shouldn't is be emphasized more in school? (In my high school the only option is an elective senior year, and I go to one of the best public schools in the country.)

Logic is based on making affirm similaritries by using words.
Similaritries are based on implying that A, is the same as A.
To clarify this it's just the opposite of saying A, is like B. Which would not be logic.
So if A, and A, match such as, a dog is dog, or (A>)fire at a time may (probablly) be found in fire( I am kind of stuck.
